Skiing  in Chile

Skiing in June - late September in the Southern Hemisphere is something all ski addicts have dreamt about. We are very excited to be offering you the opportunity to make the dream come true in the Andes.

ChileWe offer three resorts in Chile - Portillo, Termas de Chillan and the linked resorts of Valle Nevado, El Colorado and La Parva - where the ski season runs from mid-June to early October. Not only do the Chilean ski resorts provide a contrasting ski experience to Europe and North America, but the incredible diversity of the country's geography means that it is possible to create some truly extraordinary Ski Safaris.

Flying to Santiago, Chile's capital, from Heathrow takes in the region of 15 hours either via Madrid, or Buenos Aires. On arrival, you are likely to transfer straight to your first ski resort, where the hotels are at an altitude of over 3,000 metres. You will almost certainly feel the affects of the altitude, but luckily there will be someone there to carry your bags to your room!

Valle NevadoThe resorts and hotels in Chile tend to offer packages that include accommodation, all meals, lift pass and rentals, so you do not need to allow too much for spending when you are there. A 10 night skiing holiday to Chile including all of these elements costs in the region of £2,000 per person. Peak season is the last 2 weeks in July, when prices are significantly higher.

A night in Santiago is essential, but what you do after that is up to you. From the sculptured landscape of the parched Atacama Desert in the north to the icy fjords and snow-capped volcanoes of Patagonia in the south, Chile has much to see. And taste - many of Chile's wine-growing valleys are within easy reach of Santiago. We are able to add-on day trips and multi-day packages to all areas of Chile.
