Skiing holidays to
St Luc Switzerland

Expert Opinion

"St Luc is the perfect resort for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Perched half way up an Alp it is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has a charming village core. It also has a surprisingly large ski area."

St Luc, is located on the sunny south-west side of the French speaking Val d'Anniviers in Canton Valais (Wallis). The village is extraordinarily picturesque and has exceptional panoramic views of several famous Alpine peaks and of the Rhone valley. The charming village is dotted with traditional timber chalets, a church at the centre and winding, narrow streets. The resort is also the home to the Bella Tola, a 19th century hotel with masses of charm and style.

The nearest airport is Geneva but Zurich is not much further away. From the airport, there is a train connection to Sierre and then a bus takes you up the valley to resort. This resort is ideal for a week long holiday but we wouldn't recommend a short break.

The ski pass for St Luc covers the whole ski area of the Val d'Anniviers, so you are able to ski at Chandolin, Grimentz and Zinal during your stay. There are 220 km of ski runs and 44 lifts in total in all four resorts. You can ski down to Chandolin from St Luc and the other two resorts are a short bus ride further up the valley.
