Arosa, in canton Graubunden, lies in a beautifully sunny, yet snow sure bowl at the end of the Schanfigg Valley. The panoramic 360 degree views of the dramatic Alps are really something.

The traditional resort is family friendly and ideal for beginners and intermediates - there are a good range of blues and reds to get stuck into. Arosa is very child friendly with the Mickey Mouse Club kids ski school, the Kindergarten and snow playgrounds.

There is a range of accommodation, from the luxurious Tschuggen Grand with its superb spa designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta, to cosy family bed and breakfast hotels.

Arosa has the benefit of a train station so you can hop on the train at Zurich airport, sit back, enjoy the scenery and arrive in resort 3 hours later. We recommend this over driving as, although the route is beautiful, the road up the Schanfigg valley is narrow and winding. The train is a far more relaxing way to arrive.
