What are Ski Safaris?
We first offered our signature Ski Safaris 11 winters ago. As more and more people have visited resorts such as Fernie, Sun Peaks, Kicking Horse, Mammoth and Winter Park, many have realised that a Ski Safari is a fantastic way to ski North America. The concept works particularly well in Western Canada where the resorts are close together and still relatively small, but great Ski Safaris are also possible in the US, Switzerland and Japan.
On a self-drive Ski Safari not only do you get much more from your holiday by seeing some of the stunning country you are visiting, but you also get to experience the real variety of North American skiing in the flavour of the resorts and the terrain they offer. A Ski Safari adds the thrill of exploration and discovery to your winter holiday.
On a Ski Safari your flights, accommodation, vehicle and ski extras are all booked for you before you leave. We always recommend that you have a 4x4 when you are driving in the mountains – you never know when it might snow and some roads can become impassable without 4 wheel drive. We provide you with our Ski Safari Travel Pack that includes maps, driving instructions, details of your accommodation and ski extras vouchers – and then you are off on your own, private skiing adventure!
Our Ski Safaris are tailor-made to your particular requirements, any combination of resorts (within geographical limits), any accommodation and any length of stay at each resort. Although on some routes transfers are available, in our experience it is more relaxing and enjoyable if you self-drive. Our most popular Ski Safaris are listed above - more to be added soon.
