Extra Info
The Skiing:
One of Whistler’s key attractions is that the skiing is vast and awesome, yet suitable for all abilities.
Whistler Mountain has gentle tree-lined descents under the Emerald Chair, wide open go-anywhere terrain in Harmony and Symphony Bowls and, from the top of the Peak Chair, a series of steeper bowls, with bumps and narrow chutes through the trees. Not to mention the Habitat Terrain Park and Kids Tree Fort.We recommend Bear Paw and Franz’s Meadow and you have to do Peak to Creek – from the top of the Peak chair all the way to the Creekside base, an incredible ride!
Blackcomb Mountain has rolling fall-line cruisers down its front face, tree runs tucked away in the Crystal Ridge Zone and thrilling off-piste descents down to the Blackcomb Glacier, accessed from Spanky’s Ladder. Blackcomb is generally quieter than Whistler. Our recommended runs are the Blackcomb Glacier, Rock and Roll and Arthur’s Choice through the trees.
There is so much skiing and the more you ski it, the more you will find - new lines, chutes and interlinked trails - plenty to keep the thighs of even the best skiers burning for weeks.

The Aprés Ski:
Off-mountain Whistler is equally impressive. The compact village core is crammed with entertainment, including over 90 restaurants, featuring cuisine from all over the world. These range from good honest North American fare for all the family to serious bonus-blowers offering some of the best food in the land. In the main part of the season, you will need to book a table.
There are more than 20 bars including those offering après-ski beer and burgers in the sunshine with live music as well as piano bars serving cocktails. There are four nightclubs, check the local newsmagazine – The Pique – for listings of club nights and live music.
Shopping, of course, is an important part of many holidays – and Whistler won’t let you down on this front either. But it is perhaps the incredible range of other things apart from the skiing that makes Whistler so suitable for so many people – see below for a full list.
