Zell am See and its neighbour Kaprun have become one of the most popular family destinations in Europe to ski.

The villages are located in the scenic Pinzgau region and Zell am See enjoys a fantastic location on the shores of Austria's most scenic lake. The ski area is made up of three areas - Kitzsteinhorn, Schmittenhöhe and Maiskogel. Whatever level of skier/boarder you will find terrain that works for you. The more advanced skier should head towards the Schmittenhöhe for challenging blacks and some excellent off piste. If you haven't skiied for a while and are just wanting to get your ski legs back, then head straight over to the Maiskogel region in Kaprun.
