Zell am See and its neighbour Kaprun have become one of the most popular family destinations in Europe to ski.

The villages are located in the scenic Pinzgau region and Zell am See enjoys a fantastic location on the shores of Austria's most scenic lake. Both resorts offer a family friendly atmosphere catering to all needs. There are many quality hotels to choose from and no shortage of bars and restaurants in both villages.

The ski area is made up of three areas - Kitzsteinhorn, Schmittenhöhe and Maiskogel. Whatever level of skier/boarder you will find terrain that works for you. The more advanced skier should head towards the Schmittenhöhe for challenging blacks and some excellent off piste. If you haven't skiied for a while and are just wanting to get your ski legs back, then head straight over to the Maiskogel region in Kaprun.

If you prefer to combine your ski holiday with other leisure activitives, why not try a little cross-country skiing, tobogganing, and hiking just to name a few possibilities. These resorts are ideal for families and very affordable so why not experience what Zell am See and Kaprun have to offer?

Details on Zell am See and Kaprun's accommodation choices are still be added to our website. If however you would like more information please contact Claire 01273 224062 or email claire@skisafari.com
