Skiing holidays to
Saalbach and Hinterglemm Austria

Expert Opinion

"Saalbach is for the party people out there who love skiing and enjoy the traditional Austrian style resorts. If you are not such a night-owl then neighbouring village Hinterglemm is a great choice."

Located in the picturesque Glemmtal Valley, Saalbach and Hinterglemm are quintessential Austrian resorts. Both villages are interconnected and share the same ski area but the villages differ greatly in ambience.

Saalbach is a relatively small resort but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in character and energy. The après ski in Saalbach is legendary! Hinterglemm is sleepier than its neighbour but just as enchanting and traditional and is an ideal resort for families. A shuttle bus connects the two villages.

Saalbach/Hinterglemm and Leogang make up the 200km of pisted ski area. Adventurous intermediates will be in their element. It also caters well for beginners and advanced skiers.

Just a stone's throw from Salzburg, it makes for an affordable, reliable snow sure, hassle free short break.
