Skiing holidays to
Ischgl Austria

Expert Opinion

"Ischgl has a completely different feel to St Anton and Lech - it’s all about the après ski here. The skiing area is large too - you can even ski down to Switzerland."

Tips & Advice

On the slopes:

  • Good tip to remember and trust me you will learn fast - make sure you make it back to Ischgl before 4pm to avoid the dangerous skiers traffic jam...  and of course to begin your Après ski pub crawl

  • From Palinkopf there is a beautiful long run down an unspoilt valley to Samnaum - Dorf. If you are an advanced skier/boarder and enjoy a challenge Ski Route 39 is recommended with its 1000m descent.

Off the slopes:

  • If you are a non -skier there are lots of other activities to fill your time with - 7km floodlit toboggan run, ice-skating, curling, 50km of winter walks, and a leisure centre with indoor pool. Bowling, indoor tennis and sleigh rides are also available to make this an excellent choice for any non skiers.

  • If you like to party Ischgl is the Alpine Ibiza - why not start your night with a little Après at the Hotel Elizabeth. Then have dinner at The Trofana Alm, and after dinner watch the restaurant transform around you into one of the best night clubs in town.
