Non-flight Travel Options

If you are looking for an alternative to flying, here are a couple of non-flight alternatives to get to our Swiss and Austrian resorts:

By train from London:

Catching the train from London to Zurich is now an excellent alternative to flying. The new high speed Eurostar link from London St Pancras has cut the journey time to Paris Gare du Nord to just 2 hours and 20 minutes and a new TGV link from Paris Est to Zurich takes a mere 4 hours 30 minutes. (Paris Est is a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord or 1 Metro stop).  From Zurich, it’s approximately 2 hours to resort.

Self drive:

You can also drive to resort from the UK. From the ferry terminal at Calais the drive is approximately 10 hours to the Swiss and Austrian ski resorts. For more information on route maps and directions, have a look at www.theaa.com.
